Welcome to the beautiful Buffalo National River

This site is here to help visitors navigate their way through adventures they are interested in. The Buffalo River provides over 1 million visitors a year memorable vacations at a bargain price. Anything outdoors is possible here, from world class canoeing, rafting, kayaking, hiking (over 100 miles of trails), biking, horseback riding, caving, rock climbing and much more. Take a day to photograph the bountiful elk herd or trumpeter swans in Boxley. Whatever your "thing" is you can find it here. Surf the site and get a feel of what there is to do and see and please let us know if you have any questions/comments.

This is a new site, so please any feedback is welcome. Your photos, comments, river story or just plain old questions are welcome anytime. We want this site to provide visitors-both returning and newbies- with information to make your next visit here easy to navigate and easy to enjoy. So take a look around. Canoeing is one of the favorite attractions. Kayaking and rafting are popular as well. The area of the river we highlight is the upper district. The Upper Buffalo River is the most beautiful-hands down! There are hiking trail details, biking loops-for your Harley, Ninja or your Trek bicycle. We don't discriminate-everyone is welcome! Horseback riding is terrific here. You can't find better scenery or trails anywhere else. There are some premium rock climbing spots in the area. Caves are abundant and beautiful. No visit to the Buffalo River is complete without checking out the ever growing elk herd. They are the stars of the Buffalo. They hang out in Boxley Valley and are not camera shy, so bring plenty of batteries. Check out our site and get a feel for the Buffalo River.
